The docking cradle allows the use of phone "snap-in" adapters for charging the phone battery and connecting to an external phone antenna. Once the complete phone kit is installed, snap-in adapters can be changed in a matter of seconds to accommodate different phones. Vehicle must be equipped with Premium Package or BMW Assist with Bluetooth wireless technology.
For those vehicles not equipped with a base plate via SA 6NF, many of them have the ability to have a base plate retrofitted. When performing this retrofit, only the Phone version or the Snap-in Adapter maybe used. Additional equipment may be required based on vehicle model and factory options.
