About BMW 750iL

The BMW E38 was the third generation of the BMW 7 Series, produced between 1994 and 2001. The E38 replaced the E32 in the 7 Series and was available with petrol and turbocharged six-cylinder and V8 engines, with a V12 petrol engine in the top model. There were three different wheelbases to choose from. Work on the third generation began in early 1988, with Klaus Lute leading the design work between 1988 and 1990. The Boyke Boyer concept was chosen and put into production. A total of 340,242 cars were produced, including the BMW 750iL. The last BMW E38 model was completed on 27 July 2001, and its successor was launched later.
The L7 is based on the 12-cylinder BMW 750iL and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Only 899 BMW 750iL were produced in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe. The 2000-2001 BMW 750iL had an optional glass partition separating the driver from the rear passengers. The BMW 750iL has features including explosion-proof screens around the windshield. It could be removed for evacuation and hydraulically operated windows. The gas detector of the BMW 750iL can detect irritants, such as CS gas, and responds by shutting down the fan motor, closing the air intake and closing all windows. It is activated by a button or by extreme temperatures in the engine compartment or near the fuel tank.

Production of the E38 began in 1994 for the 1995 model year. And the first model was the BMW 750iL. To fully understand the 750iL, it should not be considered an ordinary car. BMW's flagship is more of a hedonistic chamber. In addition to many sound-absorbing materials, the BMW 750iL's door glass is double-glazed. This ensures quiet operation even at triple-digit speeds. This allows you to get the most out of your mobile phone and a 440 watt AM/FM/CD/cassette system with 14 speakers. The extensive list of electrical standards is rounded off by an express function that opens windows, sunroofs and even ignition at the touch of a button.
Backseat passengers in the BMW 750iL are also well rewarded: there's plenty of space, and the backrest, headrest and lumbar support are electrically adjustable. Like the front seats, the outer seats have separate heating elements. Vents in the centre console provide hot and cold air to the rear seats. The rear window has an electric sun visor flap. And the rear side windows are manually operated.
