Here is how you can uninstall pre-catalyst oxygen sensors in M54 engines, Eliminate the brace that is mounted on the strut towers, and the housing of the interior ventilation microfilter. Then remove the engine covers. When on the right side of the engine remove wires, make sure to label the oxygen sensor harness connectors before removing them. When it comes to the removal of the oxygen sensors, one must use a crow-foot wrench that has a 22mm size. To reinstall, do the opposite of the removal process; only make sure that a little anti-seize compound goes to the sensor threads and the sensor electrical harness connectors positions and connections should be as the time installation was done.
