How to replace the inner tie rod end and tie rod on a steering gear on BMW 325i?

To replace the tie-rods, disconnect the tie-rod ends from the steering knuckles. Move the rack in as far as possible, then loosen and remove the large inner tie rod nut from the end of the steering gear. Remove the tie rod and inner tie rod end. Position the new inner tie rod end/tie rod on the rack, start the threads, and tighten the retaining nut to the specified torque. The tie rods should only be replaced as a pair. Install the steering boots.

To replace the tie-rods, disconnect the tie-rod ends from the steering knuckles. Move the rack in as far as possible, then loosen and remove the large inner tie rod nut from the end of the steering gear. Remove the tie rod and inner Tie Rod End. Position the new inner tie rod end/tie rod on the rack, start the threads, and tighten the retaining nut to the specified torque. The tie rods should only be replaced as a pair. Install the steering boots.
