How to remove and install the front and rear ABS Sensor units (wheel speed sensors) on BMW 428i?

Raise the car and support it safely. For the front ABS Sensor, working in the junction box in the wheel housing, separate the ABS Sensor electrical harness; the right front junction box contains a single harness connector while the left contains a connector for the brake pad wear sensor. Unscrew the sensor mounting bolt at the steering knuckle and remove the sensor; installation is the reverse of removal, and apply a thin coat of Staburags NBU 12/K or equivalent grease to the ABS Sensor and housing. For the rear ABS Sensor, remove the right wheel well housing liner, then working in the junction box in the wheel housing separate the ABS Sensor electrical harness, follow the sensor wire from the connector and remove it from any securing clips, then unscrew the mounting bolt in the rear wheel bearing carrier; installation is the reverse of removal and apply a thin coat of Staburags NBU 12/K or equivalent grease to the ABS Sensor and housing.
