The negative (-) battery cable must be disconnected, and the battery terminal must be covered to prevent contact. Follow battery disconnection cautions. Take out the airbag from the steering wheel. To disassemble the steering wheel to access the Cruise Control Switch, remove the fasteners on the back of the left and right spokes. Secondly, disconnect the plug connection and pull the wiring from the foam channel inside the wheel. The Cruise Control Switch is clipped into the foam, so remove the Cruise Control Switch and the cover by pulling in the directions indicated. Finally, separate the Cruise Control Switch from the cover, and check the clips for damage. When re-installing, route the wires correctly and ensure that the Cruise Control Switch stays connected to the common wiring harness. To install an M Sports steering wheel, the fasteners on the wheel and rear have to be released. Then re-install in reverse. Remove the fasteners of the shift paddles, unclip the wiring harness and disconnect the connector, lift off the paddles, remove the fasteners of the paddles, and detach the Cruise Control Switch from the face of the steering wheel.
