BMW 428i Transmission Oil Cooler

The BMW 428i Transmission Oil Cooler effectively controls the temperature of gearbox lubricant. This ensures that integral moving components are adequately shielded during either traversing urban streets or crossing mountainous passes. This small Transmission Oil Cooler connects directly with the main cooling system so that cool antifreeze can absorb heat before it thins the oil. Because oil shares the same loop with the Transmission Oil Cooler, it reaches working viscosity quicker after startup and then remains steady when the tach needle climbs. The 428i coupe, convertible, or gran coupe drivers will discover that this system takes care of the thermal spikes without any big add-ons, which is typical BMW because it is all about balanced packaging. Every 428i model built between 2013 and 2020 uses the same Transmission Oil Cooler layout, so finding a replacement or upgrade seems simple and compatibility fears lessen. The Transmission Oil Cooler helps protect both the automatic and manual gearboxes against varnish buildup, maintaining the sharp shifts and fuel economy figures that give the 428i its daily practicality. The Transmission Oil Cooler is crucial in limiting the temperatures of lubricants, reducing oxidation that promotes wear and thus extending service intervals. Therefore, it also helps BMW vehicles deliver the exceptional longevity they are so famous for. When the 428i is pushed hard, you do not want sudden pressure spikes upsetting the driveline control. A stable gearbox prevents that from happening and ensures safety too. The oil-to-water construction of the cooler is also compact to fit like a glove in the tight nose of a modern BMW without any lines being exposed to road debris, which air-cooled units cannot achieve. Notable features include passageways that resist corrosion, hose fittings that are equipped with factory-style secure, and a calibrated core that provides a balance of rapid warm-up and ruthless peak heat shedding, which is why the Transmission Oil Cooler is so highly regarded by BMW specialists. Select the Transmission Oil Cooler for BMW 428i, which is a quiet companion. Boosting the efficiency of the automobile, preserving its performance, and making every spirited mile feel effortless.

    A:
Remove the splash shield from under the engine and drain the cooling system. Next, remove the fastener and take out the ATF cooler from the Fan Shroud. Release and disconnect the coolant hoses, then unlock and remove the transmission oil cooler by pushing the oil line connection toward the oil cooler and turning the lock in the indicated direction. Installation is the reverse of removal. Afterward, refill and bleed the cooling system, check the oil level in the transmission, and inspect the cooling system for leaks.
