More pressure is used to disengage the glass from the mounting base hence if one wants to replace them, the process will involve breaking the glass. Additional safety measure for glass include covering the entire glass with a masking tape or using hand gloves when removing it. It is also recommended that the mirror glass is at an absolute minimum of the room temperature to avoid the cases where small plastic parts or glass break. While the mirror glass is held in the middle of the housing frame rotate the mirror housing so that one side of the mirror sits flush with the housing. Place the thin plastic between the glass and the frame at the middle and slowly twist the glass in a clockwise and anticlockwise manner to loosen it from the retaining clips. Slide out the glass and disengage the wiring plug contacts, then it is advisable to place the mirror glass in a secure location. The wiring must be reconnected, the mirror glass must be placed in the housing aligning the retainers made of plastic, and then firmly placing the mirror glass down to lock the retaining clip.
