Additional safety measure for glass include covering the entire glass with a masking tape or using hand gloves when removing it. While the mirror glass is held in the middle of the housing frame rotate the mirror housing so that one side of the mirror sits flush with the housing. Place the thin plastic between the glass and the frame at the middle and slowly twist the glass in a clockwise and anticlockwise manner to loosen it from the retaining clips. Slide out the glass and disengage the wiring plug contacts, then it is advisable to place the mirror glass in a secure location. The wiring must be reconnected, the mirror glass must be placed in the housing aligning the retainers made of plastic, and then firmly placing the mirror glass down to lock the retaining clip.
