This is done by first unplugging the door inner trim panel and by prying the front inner edge of the door hence releasing the outer mirror assembly clips. For Coupe models remove the upper part of triangular shape of the trim which is above the mirror mounting and then pull this mounting. In the next steps, unscrew the retaining Torx bolts to head off the mirror to the door and while doing this, restore the rubber seal because if it is damaged it must be replaced and cut off the wiring connectors as mirror is pulled off. To uninstall, one simply has to reverse the process of installation, using the mirror bolts to snap into their corresponding sockets and then torquing them to the right amount. When it comes to the glass of the exterior mirror, turn it to the uppermost position and if you intend to remove it, employ a wide plastic or wooden wedge to pry it off the motor without forceful pulling in a bid to avoid breakage of the mirror glass. If necessary remove wiring connectors from the mirror heating element and after that connect wiring and put glass on the motor. For the exterior mirror motor you need to remove rotary part of the mirror, then unscrew three screws and pull the motor apart from the reflective surface, wrenching the connector off during withdrawal. The installation proceeds in the opposite order, in order not to interrupt the functioning of the zone. To that open the exterior mirror housing cover with removing the mirror glass, four retaining clips and taking off the cover. This, once more, is removal in its opposite, an installation. For the interior mirror, there are two types of mirror arms: Each came with one that was transparent plastic cover over the plug connection and one that contained the wiring connector that could be separated. For the type of cover made of plastic, gently pry the cover from around the wiring connections. Bend the lower part of the mirror forwards to release the connection between the arm and the mounting, do not twist the arm or pull it to the rear. For the split cover mirror arm the two covers at the sides of the arm has to be pressed near the mirror and pulled apart next is pushing the right side of the mirror upwards and swiveling the left hand arm cover to be unlocked and also the left hand side. Pull out the wiring connector and using a small pry tool hit the lower portion of the mirror forward to disengage the arm. To install the mirrors, position the mirror arm over the mounting at 45 degree to the vertical on the side of the driver and push the arm to the vertical position and check for the engagement; install any covers and reconnect the wiring connector.
