BMW Air Filter

When working on the air filter housing, one has to first disconnect the air intake duct from the housing of the filter. Subsequently, ensure that the hose was secured with a clamp, then, release the clamp and remove the connector at the mass air flow sensor. Uncrew the bolts which are holding the filter housing and pull out the housing from the engine compartment. Subsequently, you have to remove the screws of the filter housing cover and open the cover to get access to the Air Filter and it has to be pulled out and, then, replaced. The process of installation is the opposite of the foregoing removal processes.

To remove the air filter housing you have to first disconnect the air intake duct from the housing. Then, turn the hose clamp counterclockwise and remove the connector at the mass air flow sensor. To replace it you pull out 4-6 mm-head screws that hold the filter housing on top and slide the housing upward out of the compartment. Following that, remove the screws from the filter housing cover and, therefore, detach the cover. Removing the Air Filter and putting in a new one should be done. When it comes to installing the impellers, it must be done in a manner that is a reverse of the removal process.
