Safely lift and support the vehicle before removing the underbody splash shield from the front. Lower the vehicle and use a support shaft to hold the engine from above and remove charge air ducts (if applicable). Loosen the nut on left and right engine mount. This step is the same for both 6 and 4 cylinder engines. Detach the fasteners at the left side engine mount support arm and remove the engine support arm from the engine. Repeat on the right side. Using a suitable hoist, lift the engine and remove the engine mounts after removing the fasteners from the left and right engine mounts from below. Be careful not to move the engine from side to side during the lift. Also, ensure there is clearance between the engine and body to avoid stressing lines, hoses, or wiring. When you reinstall the mount, ensure that the rubber part points towards the center of the vehicle. You can also identify mounts by their part numbers, even being for the right side and odd for the left. Putting back is just the opposite of removing fasteners.
