For 2004-2006 pre-LCl vehicles, open the upper and lower tailgate, then detach the left side or right side trim panel, thereafter, detach the socket assembly. After that, remove the assembly mounting fasteners that holds the taillight in order to remove them from the body. At the time of final fastening, tighten the fasteners A-B-C in that sequence so to provide the proper seating of light into the body which comes with sealing washers and weather-stripping on the sides. On 2007-2010 LCl vehicles, raise the upper and lower tailgate and pop the left or right side trim panel; disconnect the socket assembly and lift back the insulation. Pull the male portion of the electrical connect up and unscrew the four screws which hold the taillight assembly to the body, while holding one end of the threaded pins to remove the taillight from the body. Installation is done by tightening the fasteners from A-B-C, then the light should fit into the body with sealing washers and weather-stripping being used.
