Remove the
Cylinder Head and
Camshaft, then move the rocker arms and thrust washers to one side to extract the locating circlips. With the distributor already removed, unbolt and withdraw the ear face of the cylinder head, noting the location of the self-sealing. Use a suitable drift to drive the rocker shafts out from the front of the cylinder head, ensuring the drift is just less than the diameter of the rocker shaft to prevent the shaft blanking plug from being driven into the shaft and blocking the oil ways. As each shaft is removed, extract the rocker arm components in strict order for exact refitting, following the sequence of spring, washer, rocker arm, collar, and circlip.
