Drain the cooling system and remove the
Radiator. Flatten the tabs of the locking plates, unscrew and remove the fan securing bolts, and withdraw the fan. Slacken the dynamo or alternator mountings and adjuster, push the dynamo or alternator towards the engine, and slip off the driving belt and water pump pulley. Disconnect the hoses from the water pump, then unscrew and remove the securing bolts before withdrawing the water pump. If it is stuck, avoid levering it off to prevent damage to the mating flanges; instead, give it a sharp blow with a soft-faced mallet. For installation, reverse the removal process, ensuring to use a new flange gasket and copper sealing washers under the bolt heads.
