How to remove and install the Harmonic Balancer on the 3.0L six cylinder engine of a BMW 328i?

Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Release the fasteners and remove the engine splash shield (where installed) (Engine splash shield fasteners). Remove the drivebelt(s). Unscrew the securing bolts, and remove the harmonic balancer/pulley from the hub. If necessary, hold the hub using a socket or wrench on the hub securing bolt. Install the balancer securing bolts, and tighten to the specified torque. Again, hold the pulley if necessary when tightening the bolts. Install the drivebelt(s). Where applicable, install the engine splash shield.
