    How to remove the Tailgate Lift Support and Trunk Lid Lift Support on BMW 328i?

    To remove the trunk lid, open the luggage compartment and lift up slightly the center pins to eliminate the plastic expansion rivets. Take out the trim panel on the trunk lid by lifting off its centre pins as well as plastic expansion rivets. Disconnect license plate lights wiring connectors and trunk lid lock wire is tied with a cord string at its end. Note how this wiring harness is correctly routed in your vehicle; remove those rubber grommets on your truck lid that hold it in place, then pull it out. When you can see where the wires roared out of the trunk, untie rope and let one end of it remain there. With a marker pen draw around each hinge line. Remove lower screw taking off upper bolt loosing up top hinge take off tailgate from car. Replace them if worn or broken down hinges during examination. Bolts secure these hinges to car bodies. Line up marks made prior cab removal & install helpers should aid whilst fastening boot closed using bolts attached to hinges aligned with holes again after removing pieces opening edition; check alignment between doors closing cover tightly enough around corner in some cases loosen screws until lip rests against fender all sides must be equal approximately- if not repaint hood with right touch-up brush - so corrosion cannot start at edges / paintwork near kinks corrodes way into metal avoiding accidents while driving!
