If the chain tensioner is to be refurbished for reuse, it should be emptied of the oil chamber by standing it on a levelling working platform then tightening it slightly, this process should be undertaken twice. When assembling this engine, it is necessary to use a new sealing O-ring as this has no sealing ring fitted to the chain tensioner.
