FRM and JBE measure exposed temperature of power window motor which depends on outside ambient temperature, time for which motor is in operation and time during which it is idle. Each motor is switched off separately so that they are protected from overheating during the
Window Regulator movement; deactivation of the motors continues for a certain amount of time. The thermal protection function enables the windows to be opened in the event of trapping and once a power window function has been started, it is not interfered with by this facility. Again, potentially in panic mode, the window can be closed even if the thermal protection is on. The recommendations regarding the battery disconnection have been given in the warnings and cautions and need to be read before disconnecting the battery.
