How do you remove and replace the fog light bulb on BMW X3?

The fog light plastic trim ring has to be taken off the bumper, this can be done by prying it off with fingers. Next, remove the fog light mounting screws and the fog-light assembly should be slid forward to disengage it from the bumper. Pull out the electrical connector from the rear of the housing and take off the housing rear cap. To access the fog light bulb, rotate the bulb anti-clockwise in the direction of the arrow, next put back the bulb while ensuring that the bare fingers do not come into contact with the bulb surface since grease from the skin will lead to bulb failure.
