How to remove and install the center seat belt reel on BMW X3?

Remove the rear seat bottom and the center shoulder belt mounting bolt. Next, take out the seat backrest from the vehicle and remove the shoulder belt guide trim at the top of the seat backrest, feeding the belt out through the slot in the trim. After that, remove the backrest upholstery to access the shoulder belt reel, and once the upholstery is removed, take out the fastener for the center seat belt reel. Detach the Bowden cable from the backrest brackets and unhook it from the backrest release latch, then remove the center seat belt reel. The installation process is the reverse of the removal steps.
