The hazard warning and central locking switch assembly is located behind the transmission selector lever in the center console. Begin by prying up the selector lever trim at the rear and positioning it, with the shifter boot still attached, over the shift lever. Exercise caution as the right side harness connector is permanently attached to the gear position neutral safety switch, so avoid pulling on it. Although the shift knob is depicted as removed in the illustration, it is not necessary to take it off. Reach into the opening and push the hazard warning and central locking switch assembly up from underneath the console trim panel, then detach the electrical harness connector. To reinstall, follow the reverse process of removal.
