How to remove and install the tail light assembly on the rear of a BMW X5?

Open the upper and lower tailgate and remove the left or right side trim panel. Detach the harness connector at the rear of the taillight assembly. Remove the mounting fasteners for the taillight assembly and take out the taillight. Install in reverse order of removal.
