New sway bar link nuts will be required on installation. Begin by firmly applying the parking brake, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Unscrew the retaining nut and free the sway bar link from the stabilizer bar, using a second wrench to hold the link balljoint stud. Next, loosen and remove the nut securing the link to the suspension strut, again using a second wrench to hold the link balljoint stud, preferably with an open-ended wrench for the sway bar link balljoint stud. Check the sway bar link balljoints for signs of wear, ensuring each balljoint moves easily and that the rubber boots are undamaged; replace the sway bar link if necessary. For installation, reverse the removal sequence, using new nuts and tightening them to the specified torque setting.
