Standard, Up for a short distance and then off Remove the steering gear boot, then unscrew the tie-rod from the end of the steering gear. Fit the new locking plate into the steering gear so that the locating tabs provided in the plate must fit into the respective grooves. Tighten the tie-rod to the stipulated torque and then fix the boot again to the car.
