These vehicles are fitted with the Central Body Electronic or more commonly known as ZKE-V system where every single system is systematically connected to a central control component for ease of diagnosis. This module governs windshield wipers and washers, central locking and anti-theft control, power windows, interior lamps, alarm, and consumer electronic power down. In case of a malfunction, the diagnosis must be done by a dealer service department or any other qualified automotive repair facility due to use of special test equipment. It is mounted on the extremity of the instrument panel and it is used for the windshield washer nozzles and on models with headlight washers it is used for the headlight washer jets as well as being mounted in the engine bay. First, drain the tank and unscrew the wiring connectors from the washer pump(s), check the sealing grommet(s) of the pump for any damage. Attached are the illustrations of the unit showing the location of the reservoir and the methods of installing it back after removal: Engage the locating lugs and look for leakage after refilling. For the washer pumps which are for the windshield and the headlight, a like procedure can be followed for their removal and installation, though the grommets may require replacement if they are damaged. To replace front washer reservoir level switch the switch is accessed by removing the reservoir and rotating the switch ¼ turn clockwise. Washer nozzles must be removed properly so as not to harm the paint and installation includes making connections and making adjustments in order to have optimal spray. Headlight washer jets are remove-by-hand designs that demand gentle removal to prevent fluid leaks and adjustment requires special tool. The wash/wipe control module is hidden in the cargo area, behind the passenger side glove box, in a small slot, the glove box must be taken off and the wiring connectors pulled out. The process of removal and installation of the rear window washer reservoir and pump is very much the same, However, extra care must be taken with fluid spillage as well as reconnection of the parts. Last but not the least of the components is the rear window washer jet which is a push-fit and needs to be directed rightly at the time of fitting.
