To take off the wiper arm one has to operate the wiper motor and then turn off the motor in order to enable the arm to go back to its typical position. To ensure proper alignment while installing it, better to give masking tape specially on the edges of the blade region. Remove the wiper arm spindle nut cover and them the spindle nut, after that, one has to remove the blade off the glass then remove the wiper arm off the spindle. It can be levered off, using a flat-bladed screwdriver or some suitable puller if necessary. If both wiper arms are to be removed and then reinstalled it is advisable to mark them in some way to distinguish them because they are not identical. For installation clean and dry the wiper arm and the splines and then fit the arm onto the spindle in a way that the wiper blade is in line with the tape. If the knurled-tapered sleeves on the arms are loose they should be changed. The spindle nut should be tightened to the required amount of torque and the nut cover should be replaced. When fitting wipers on a new front windshield if there is sufficient space make sure that the distance between the top edge of the wiper blade and the upper edge of the trim is 44mm on the driver's side and 24mm on the passenger side.
