The receiver-drier is installed in the A/C condenser and should be replaced under any of the following circumstances; there is dirt in the AJC system; the compressor has seized or has been replaced; the condenser or the evaporator has been replaced; the AIC system is leaking and no refrigerant is left; if the A/C system has been opened for 24 h or more. As per the directives of the manufacturer, link an authorization refrigerator recovery, recycling or recharging unit to the A/C system and discharge it. On some units, drain the A/C condenser and then undo the screws to disconnect the receiver-drier from the condenser while the installation process is the reverse of the removal process. It is often necessary to replace O-rings on sealing when replacing the receiver-drier and joining the refrigerant tubes, and recharging A/C system to the amount according to the capacity of the equipment prescribed.
