Raise the car and support it safely. Disconnect the rear drive shaft from the differential. Remove the drive axle CV joint bolts on both the left and right sides, and suspend the drive axles from the body using stiff wire. Support the differential with a special tool, ensuring it does not damage the output flange dust covers. Partially release the exhaust heat shield to access the front differential mounting bolts, then remove the front and rear differential mounting bolts and the vent line from the differential. Carefully lower the differential unit. For installation, use the special tool to lift the differential into place, install the mounting bolts finger tight (replacing nuts and bolts), remove the differential support, and tighten both front and rear mounting bolts. The remainder of the installation follows the reverse order of removal, and it is important to check the differential oil level.
