2007 BMW 335i Air Filter Box Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and reinstall the Air Filter Box in N55 six cylinder engine on 2007 BMW 335i?
A: Working at the front of the engine compartment above the radiator, remove the air intake screws from the lock support, detach the air intake duct side clamps, and lift it out of the radiator support. Detach the brackets in an upward direction, unclip the cable from the clamp, and lay it to one side. Unlock the air mass meter harness connector and remove it, then loosen the clamps and remove the air intake cover. Pull the intake air Filter Box off the rubber mounts in an upward motion. The installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the tightening torque of the clamps, as over-tightening can cause damage to the intake pipes. After reinstalling, check for fault codes and reset the ECM memory.
