Raise the car and support it safely. For vehicles with dual outlet exhaust, remove the exhaust system. Disconnect the rear drive shaft from the differential and remove the drive axle CV joint bolts on both sides. Suspend the drive axles from the body using stiff wire. Support the differential with a special tool, ensuring it does not damage the output flange dust covers. Remove the front and rear differential mounting bolts, as well as the vent line from the differential, and carefully lower the differential unit. To install, use the special tool to lift the differential into place, install the mounting bolts finger tight (replacing nuts and bolts), remove the differential support, and then tighten both front and rear mounting bolts. The remainder of the installation follows the reverse order of removal, and it is important to check the differential oil level.
