The BMW 328i xDrive starter is the motor within an internal combustion engine and a critical component of the ignition process. It takes the electrical charge from the battery and sends it to the alternator, enabling the engine to start. If the BMW 328i xDrive starter wears out, it can't receive or send a charge, so the car is effectively dead and will not start.
