Start by taking off the
Oil Pan and oil pick-up tube to remove the oil pump. Then the bolt holding the sprocket on the oil pump shaft should be removed and pull off the sprocket and chain from the shaft. Other bolts that are used for retaining the oil pump in place as well as pump module mounting bolts ought to be removed. While fitting a new one, replace all aluminum bolts while tightening all fasteners with their respective torque values. First, remove drive belt and drive belt tensioner before you can take off an oil pump chain. A vacuum sealing cover on a vacuum pump may be removed using a screwdriver or special tools. Now turn crankshaft pulley bolt till holes in vacuum pump drive sprocket line up with securing bolts of a pump itself. To keep it in place, secure it with a retaining bolt so that it does not fall down when removing it from its position. Push this tensioner towards right hand side and then lock into position. Remove Drive Sprocket And Chain From Vacuum Pump Shaft The vibration damper & sprocket should also be pulled out of an oil-pump shaft The engine should be at TDC on No 1 cylinder This will enable you to release your crankshaft pulley hub with a holding tool after which you can loosen pulley hub bolt Remove plug from timing chain cover after removing hub from crankshaft Unscrew the bolt that fastens an Oil Pump Drive Chain Module to Cylinder block When installing new "drive chain," replace all aluminum bolts while tightening every nut and screw until specified torque is reached.
