How to remove and install the oil pressure switch in 2.0L four cylinder engine on BMW 330i?

The oil pressure switch is located under the throttle body in the side of the engine block. Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the switch from the engine block. Be prepared for oil spillage. Installation is the reversal of removal. Use a new sealing washer and tighten the switch to the specified torque. Check the engine oil level and add new oil if necessary. Drain the engine oil. Remove the fasteners and the engine splash shield. Disconnect the wiring plug, remove the three retaining bolts and remove the switch from the bottom corner of the oil pan. Ensure that the oil pan mating surface is clean. Install the switch with a new seal and apply a little thread-locking compound. Tighten the retaining nuts to the specified torque. Install the engine splash shield, and refill the engine oil.
