Without iDrive, the A/C Switch can be removed with a plastic prying tool as shown below; In the model with iDrive unscrew the A/C Switch, which is unbolted with a special prying tool; then turn the frontal panel with the knobs, and it is necessary to remember that the plastic gudgeons are at the point D; after that pull back the panel and unlock the connectors lock according to the instructions. Removal is the complete opposite of installation and for this reason, to program and code the new panel, a BMW scan tool is used.

The BMW 335i A/C Switch allows drivers to have direct control over cabin climate as it activates the system's electronic relays at the push of a button. When the A/C Switch is pressed, it is a signal to the climate control module, which is buried in the dashboard, to wake up the compressor, set up the blower speed through the power module, and transfer cool or warm air until the selected temperature is achieved.
