Move mirror glass carefully and slowly, ensuring added protection by covering it completely with masking tape or wearing hand protection during removal. Ensure the mirror glass is at or above room temperature before removal to prevent breakage of small plastic parts or glass. Tilt the mirror housing outward, and with the glass squarely positioned in the housing frame, push the bottom of the glass fully into the housing. Insert a plastic wedge under the center of the glass and gently pry it up until it disengages from the retaining clips. Lift the glass out and store it safely. For installation, position the mirror glass in the housing while aligning the plastic retainers, then carefully lever the top center of the glass down to engage the retaining clips. Finally, check that the mirror moves freely in all directions.
