Use a plastic putty knife to gently push on the glass until the glass pops free. This may require a few attempts. Waring: Ensure the Side View Mirrors are at or above room temperature before removing them; otherwise, the small plastic parts or glass may break. To make repairs easier, angle the mirror housing away from the car. Once the Side View Mirrors are positioned straight up in the housing frame, fully push in the vehicle side of the glass to the housing. Using a plastic prying tool, gently pry up on the outer part of the Side View Mirrors while working your way around the glass. Once you have freed them from the retaining clips, remove and disconnect any electrical connectors on the Side View Mirrors then lift them out and store safely. During installation, take care not to damage the plastic retaining lugs; position the Side View Mirrors in the housing so that the retaining lugs are correctly aligned and locked in position, and check that the mirror can move freely in all directions.
