BMW 335i Transmission Oil Cooler

The basic role of the BMW 335i Transmission Oil Cooler is to maintain a safe working temperature of engine lubricant within a safe viscosity range so that moving parts are protected and lubrication works well. This Transmission Oil Cooler is applied to channel hot oil through an oil to water heat exchanger connected to the vehicle's coolant system, enabling the liquid coolant to absorb excess heat quickly and providing warmth to the oil fast after the vehicle is started. Across the years, the 335i has primarily been on this compact oil to water style, although some cars have had a slightly larger one for performance packages fitted. Each Transmission Oil Cooler style operates using coolant flow rather than direct airflow, so warm up times remain short while peak temperatures are capped during spirited driving. The Transmission Oil Cooler can lose effectiveness if the coolant side becomes clogged or corroded, which can increase oil temps or even mix fluids, which is why it is important to have a clear cooling passage. In cases of heavy towing or steep hill climbing, the factory Transmission Oil Cooler can be stretched to the limit, but in normal conditions, it maintains the oil integrity and helps the BMW 335i to deliver consistent power for every BMW enthusiast.

If you are looking for OEM BMW 335i Transmission Oil Cooler, we highly recommend to shop with us. Not only do we offer budget friendly prices, but we also provide fast delivery. BMW 335i Transmission Oil Cooler Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q:
How to remove the Transmission Oil Cooler and ensure proper installation and maintenance on the BMW 335i?
    Posted by Dale J.
    A:
Remove the splash shield from under the engine and drain the cooling system. It is important to cover the alternator when working on oil, coolant, or fuel circuits to protect it from damage. Remove the coolant hoses and the screw from the underside of the ATF cooler. Use BMW special tool 17 0 030 to unlock the transmission fluid from the hydraulic lines and remove the ATF cooler. Installation is the reverse of removal, and it is essential to check the automatic transmission fluid level, refill and bleed the cooling system, and check the cooling system for leaks.
