How to safely remove and reinstall the radiator and related components on BMW 428i?

Safely lift and support the car. Remove the splash shield from the underside of the engine and drain the radiator. Remove the cowl around the fan next. For the automatic transmission, unlock and disconnect hose for the transmission cooler. Have a shop towel ready to catch any leaking transmission fluid. Allow the coolant hoses to release and disconnect. Now, over the upper edges of the radiator, unfasten the fasteners. Remove the covering of the radiator and carefully lift the entire radiator upward to take it out. The installation is the reversal of the removal, ensuring that the upper radiator cover is seated, the radiator is seated firmly in the lower mounts and the electric cooling fan cowl clips are clipped at the bottom securing the cooling system is refilled and bled. To finish up, check the cooling system for leaks and, if relevant, check the ATF.
