Climate control of heating and air conditioning is managed by the center console mounted control panel that comes with large, soft touch buttons and an LED. Some of the features that are present in the system are manual control of air vents to different levels, air temperature sensor intake present inside the car at the driver and the passenger seat, manual control of temperature and then there are automatic controls that keep on operating the cooling or heating system in order to maintain the temperature as set. It has a LCD panel to display settings such as blower speed, mode and temperatures. Although it has a fresh air and a recirculated air button, the former activates when exterior pollution levels are high. The blower rocker switch is therefore the master switch and the windshield defroster takes over other functions in the car. The A/C function can be operated in on or off position, while the A/C Switch module consisting of a front panel and diagnostic board has the facility to memorize the trouble codes and also to take inputs from sensors. It has an electrically pulsed heater valve with heater core; the temperature setting is shown on the control panel. The
A/C Compressor runs with no great on-off cycling, thanks and controlled by the ECM via inputs from the A/C Switch. It employs an electric cooling fan, and the air distribution is controlled by stepper motors that can be reprogrammed after replacement. Recirculation ON/OFF is possible and the air quality sensor controls when the recirculation is initiated. Some of these are personalization options where drivers can choose the extent of the A/C Switch functions to incorporate and the cabin microfilter, which is also serviceable. The rear window defogger button is located in the control panel, the relay is located in the trunk. Solar sensor controls the climate control system relative to solar heating and entails an input of data at every 10 seconds to maintain the interior conditions.
