Check wheel alignment if the control arm is removed. Deactivate the air spring. Remove the rear wheel. While working at the top of the control arm, release lines from plastic retaining brackets and make note of line routing. Remove the outer control arm
Ball Joint nut and press the ball joint out of the rear wheel bearing carrier. Release the nut and remove the inner control arm bolt, making note of the bolt insertion direction. For installation, reverse the removal process while using new self-locking nuts, ensuring that threaded bolts, nuts, and mating surfaces are clean. The inner control arm mounting bolt must thread to the rear, with the bolt head at the front. Activate and fill the air suspension system, and tighten fasteners to final torque only after the vehicle has been lowered and the suspension has settled. Have the car professionally aligned when the job is complete.
