To begin, remove the rear hub and then take out the hub bearing retaining snap-ring from the
Trailing Arm. Use a hammer and a suitable punch to tap the hub bearing out from the trailing arm. Clean the trailing arm bore thoroughly, eliminating all dirt and grease, and polish away any burrs or raised edges that could obstruct reassembly; replace the snap-ring if its condition is questionable. During reassembly, apply a light film of clean engine oil to the bearing outer race to facilitate installation. Align the bearing in the trailing arm and tap it fully into position, ensuring it enters squarely with the aid of a suitable tubular spacer that only contacts the bearing's outer race. Secure the bearing in place with the snap-ring, ensuring it is fully seated in the trailing arm groove, and finally, install the rear hub.
