Lay the seat on its back with the frame lying on a soft surface if possible while the other end should be lifted up. For the lower side trim panel, unscrew the mounting screw from the rear side of the panel. The seat control switch and the lower side trim panel require removal of the retaining clips and this can be done by applying a screwdriver and a long pick tool. Remove the lower side trim panel from the front trim panel at that point as indicated below. To access this switch, it is necessary to take out the seat control switch trim panel to another room for instance leaving it in the boot. Pull the harness connector out of the seat control switch unit and release the tabs and pull out the control switch unit of the trim panel. Position of the retaining clips for mounting the lower side trim panel is shown. Mount in reverse order of the disassembly, or as it is also known, bottom up.
