BMW 32106799966 Steering Tie Rod End Left

Raise the front of the car and remove the road wheel, then remove the splash shield underneath the engine; make a reference measurement of the Tie Rod End to the tie rod and record it, as an accurate measurement helps approximate correct wheel alignment when new parts are installed; at the Tie Rod End, remove the tie rod lock nut at the steering knuckle and loosen the tie rod adjustment lock nut (8), use BMW special tool 32 3 090 or equivalent to press the Tie Rod End out of the steering knuckle, unscrew the Tie Rod End from the tie rod shaft, reinstall in reverse order, ensure threaded parts are clean, apply anti-seize paste to inner tie rod threads, use new self-locking nuts where applicable, use the previously made reference marks to set toe temporarily, and after reassembling the steering have the car professionally aligned and carry out steering angle sensor adjustment using a BMW scan tool.
