To connect the connection cable to the hood lock cable, unclip the connection housing from the inner fender and remove the hood latch. Install the cable by routing it correctly and securing it to all relevant retaining clips. Check that the hood latch operates correctly before closing the hood.

Start by removing the fasteners securing the connection housing to the inner fender. Pry open the housing and disconnect the inner and outer cables. Then, remove the mounting bolts at the top edge of the bumper and remove the rubber sealing strip. Loosen and remove the latch mounting bolts, lift the latch from the radiator support panel, and release the outer and inner cables from the latch. For F-series chassis models, remove specific screws on each side.
