When installing the new clutch disk, pressure plate, and release bearing, ensure that all necessary components are cleaned and inspected. Use a clutch alignment tool to properly position the clutch disk against the flywheel. Install the pressure plate and tighten the fasteners in a crisscross pattern. Check for excessive drag and adjust if required. Apply high-temperature grease to certain areas.

If the clutch doesn't disengage, check for air in the hydraulic system, a deteriorated flexible line, a bent or broken release fork, a damaged or seized clutch disk or pilot bearing, or an oil or coolant leak near the clutch assembly. If the clutch slips, examine the disk or pressure plate for wear, check for an internally restricted hydraulic line, inspect for oil leaks near the clutch assembly, or investigate fluid contamination in the hydraulic system.
