Therefore, it is important to ensure there are proper tools for use before starting on any job. In order to take out the intake camshaft, you will be required to remove Valvetronic intermediate levers, ignition coils, fuel injectors and injector shaft tube fasteners. When adjusting and removing the eccentric shaft and Valvetronic servo motor also requires its removal. Also, the stop screw as well as oil spray nozzle, minimum stroke stop, return springs guide blocks and intermediate levers should be dismantled. Finally after which PCM/DME control unit together with camshaft bearing caps are removed then by itself the camshaft. The compression ring must be detached from rocker arms along with hydraulic adjusters. For correct removal of the exhaust valveshaft cover a timing chain module; roller tappet; high-pressure pump adapter for fuel; camshaft bearing castings have to be taken off too. Then separate upper from lower casting by taking off the ring parts along with rocker arms also hydraulic adjusters in place as well. The last thing is that after conducting a check on them using specific chemicals have become installed reverse order of their placement in engines in terms of reverse order that while VANOS intake exhaust adjuster units were fitted thereupon.
