How to remove and install the brake light switch on BMW 335i?

Remove the left lower dashboard trim located above the pedals. While working at the pedal cluster, disconnect the electrical harness connector from the brake light switch and pull the brake light switch from its bracket mounting. To install, depress the brake pedal and hold it down using a brake pedal prop tool. Slide the brake light switch as far as it will go into the brake light switch holder and then attach the harness connector. Grip the brake light switch holder, slowly return the brake pedal to its rest position, and pull the switch back to stop. Finally, check the function of the brake light switch with the assistance of a helper.
