Before doing this, however, the front seat should be lowered and its backrest placed on a soft surface. Take out the screw on the top or if there is a catch push the catch to open it and with your finger free the lugs from the catches. In the position in front of it, using the fingertips, unfastened the cover with switches from the seat and in the area of the seat-switches, use a screw-driver to release the locking pin which secures it. Pull behind the seat cushion to release the trim piece, then release the connectors of the seat switch. Release the catches of the switch housing and remove the switches; they are the combination switch, the lumbar support, and the backrest adjustment. The removal of the valve is done in a process that is opposite to the installation process.

BMW 335i Seat Switch gives drivers fingertip control of seat movements to ensure that each of their journeys begins with a customized driving position. Nestled on the seat base or door panel, the Seat Switch turns the small reversible electric motors to slide the cushion forward or back, raise or lower the seat, incline the pad, and recline the backrest, all while the car is smoothly in motion.
