How to replace the oil pressure switch on BMW 335i?

A small bolt has to be turned anti-clockwise to make the oil filter cover to become loose so that the engine oil can be allowed to drain back to the oil pan before tightening the bolt again. Pull the harness connector with the oil pressure switch if you're going to diagnose only that then remove the cover of ignition coil. Pull out the switch with the idea that some oil might spill and be ready to have a shop towel nearby to wipe it. Quite a lot of attention must be paid to the cleaning of the area around the oil pressure switch prior to its removal. Replace the new pressure switch with a new sealing washer.
