Raise the car and support it safely. Remove the splash guard under the engine and the front end reinforcement if equipped. If the driveshaft is to be reinstalled, mark the mounting flanges and driveshaft sections with paint to preserve the original orientation. At the front differential input flange, remove the universal joint bolts. Then, at the transfer case flange, remove the universal joint bolts and take out the driveshaft. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to observe any previously made marks if applicable and replace ZNS fasteners with new ones.
